Casablanca Airport to the City: All Transport Options

Travel guidePublished Last checked 6 min read

Getting from Casablanca airport (Mohammed V) to the city is easy once you know the options. The airport is about 27 km from the centre. You can reach town by train (60 DH in 2nd class), by the Aerobus shuttle (50 MAD), by taxi or by car. This guide compares them with the times, prices and the small catches, and says which one fits which trip. The wider city is covered in the Casablanca travel guide.

Sources checked 5 November 2026: the airport operator’s own pages (train, Aerobus, taxi, road), the Casabus site, and ONCF’s live fare search and works notice. Taxi fares are not published, so we say so below. Check current times and prices before you travel.

The airport sits in the Nouaceur commune, about 27 km south-west of the centre. The operator’s road page says to allow 30 to 50 minutes by car, depending on traffic.

By train

The station is in the basement of Terminal 1, with direct access from the arrivals hall, so you do not need a shuttle to reach it. The airport’s page lists trains without a change to Bouskoura, Ennassim, Facultés, L’Oasis, Casa Voyageurs and Casa Port. A 2nd class ticket costs 60 MAD and a 1st class ticket 80 MAD. You can buy it online at oncf-voyages.ma or at the ticket machine in the airport (see how to book ONCF train tickets online).

The details do not all match, so read this part with care. The airport page says trains leave the airport from 06:50 to 22:50 and take about 30 minutes to Casa Voyageurs. When we searched ONCF’s site in October, trains ran every hour, the first at 05:55 from the airport, and the trip took 41 to 43 minutes at a flat 60 DH. Also, ONCF says that from 14 September 2026 the airport trains end at Casa Voyageurs instead of Casa Port, and you continue to Casa Port by changing trains. Check the timetable on the day you travel.

Casa Voyageurs is the useful end of the line if you travel on. From there you can take the train to Marrakech (Casablanca to Marrakech by train) or Al Boraq to Tangier (Al Boraq timetable and fares). The Rabat side is covered in the Rabat travel guide.

By Aerobus

The Aerobus is a shuttle between the airport and the city. According to the airport, it serves the main neighbourhoods and ends at Casa Port train station, with one departure every 30 minutes. The Casabus site says every 25 to 40 minutes, with a day and night schedule, and names Casa Port, Place des Nations Unies and Parc de la Ligue Arabe among the stops. The fare is a single 50 MAD, paid in cash, by bank card or with a rechargeable card.

It was set up by the airport operator for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, so it is a newer service. Neither page gives the journey time, so ask the driver or check the Casabus site. If your hotel is near Casa Port, the tram or the Place des Nations Unies, this is the simplest way in.

By taxi

Taxis wait outside, and the airport says the service is available day and night. They are identified by their signs and numbers, and a reception desk on the arrivals esplanade displays the rates. We could not find a published fixed fare, so check the desk before you get in. Travel guides report about 250 MAD to the centre, but we could not confirm that figure, so treat it as a rough guide.

WeTaxi is the other option. It has pickup points at the exits of Terminals 1 and 2 and a kiosk that helps you book, and you can also book through wetaxi.ma.

By car

The airport connects to the motorways towards Bouskoura, Marrakech, Rabat and Tangier. Allow 30 to 50 minutes from the city, and check traffic before you leave. There is a petrol station near the airport that the operator says is open day and night. Car rental and parking have their own pages on the airport site, which we did not read for this guide.

Which option to pick

If you…Pick
Are heading on by train to Marrakech, Tangier or RabatThe train to Casa Voyageurs
Sleep near Casa Port or the tramThe Aerobus
Land late, after the last listed train at 22:50The Aerobus (day and night schedule) or a taxi
Carry a lot of luggage or travel as a groupA taxi, after checking the posted rate
Want to drive on to another cityA rental car, then the motorway

The catch is that you cannot be sure of the exact train times from one page to the next, because the works on the high-speed line changed the plan in September 2026. Keep a plan B, such as the Aerobus or a taxi, in case the train you wanted is not running. For costs in town afterwards, see Morocco travel cost and Getting around Morocco. Flying in from Britain?
