Casablanca to Marrakech Train: Times, Stations and Booking

Travel guidePublished Last checked 5 min read
Intercity train crossing the golden plains between Casablanca and Marrakech

The Casablanca to Marrakech train takes about 2h54 and, on the fare search we checked, cost 120 to 135 DH in 2nd class. Below: the timetable, prices, discounts, stations and booking. The wider route plan is in the Morocco itinerary, and day-to-day budgets are in the Morocco travel cost guide.

Sources checked 2026-10-22: ONCF’s Marrakech-Fes timetable grid (PDF, valid from 15 September 2025) and a live fare search on oncf-voyages.ma for Wednesday 4 November 2026, 1 adult. Prices on that site are dynamic, so treat the numbers below as a same-week example, not a fixed price, and check the current fare before you travel.

How long the train takes

The direct Al Atlas train between Casa Voyageurs and Marrakech is scheduled at 2h54. Both the live fare search (06:36 to 09:30, 08:43 to 11:37) and ONCF’s timetable grid show it. The grid gives 3h00 for the two earliest trains from Marrakech. You will still see “2h35” in an old 2018 ONCF guide, but it does not match today’s timetable.

On the live search for Wednesday 4 November 2026, trains left Casa Voyageurs at 06:36, then at 08:43, 09:43, 10:43 and so on every hour, with the last one shown at 17:43. In the other direction, the 2025 grid lists Marrakech departures from 4:30 (that first train does not run on Sundays and public holidays) to 18:35. Times change with the season, so check the date you travel.

What a ticket costs

A fare search for Casa Voyageurs to Marrakech on 4 November 2026 (2 weeks out from when this was checked) showed these one-way, one-adult prices:

ClassPrice range seenExample departure
2nd class120 to 135 DH06:36 departure, 09:30 arrival: 120 DH
1st class89 to 215 DH13:43 departure, 16:37 arrival: 89 DH

120 DH works out to roughly 11 EUR, 135 DH to about 12.5 EUR, at a rough rate of 10.8 MAD per EUR (check the day’s rate, it moves). The 1st class range is wider and, on the day checked, two 1st class departures (89 DH and 119 DH) were actually cheaper than several 2nd class trains at 135 DH. That is dynamic, seat-bucket pricing at work, not a stable rule, so do not assume first class automatically costs more.

Discounts worth knowing about

YALLA AL ATLAS, ONCF’s cheap-seat fare, is 49 DH flat (about 4.5 EUR) in 2nd class, year-round, on Al Atlas trains, but seats are limited per train and it is sold out fast. ONCF advises buying at least 7 days ahead. It cannot be combined with other discounts, and the ticket is non-exchangeable and non-refundable. ONCF’s own page did not list which exact routes carry this fare when checked, so confirm Casa Voyageurs to Marrakech is included before counting on it.

Small groups of 3 to 9 people get 10% off in 2nd class and 15% off in 1st class. ONCF’s own example for this exact route: 99 DH per person instead of 110 DH, 2nd class. Buy at a station counter for groups of 3 to 9; online, the reduced-fare option caps at 6 people, so a group of 8 would need two separate bookings (a 5-person ticket plus a 3-person ticket).

Children aged 4 to 15 pay a reduced fare, children under 4 travel free on an adult’s lap without their own seat, and from 15 the full adult fare applies (ONCF conditions of sale). In a live search for 1 adult plus 1 child, 2nd class, the 06:36 train that costs 120 DH for one adult came to 170 DH for both, so the child’s share was about 50 DH that day. There is no fixed percentage, because the base fare moves with demand, so treat it as one example and check the price for your dates.

Youth, student and senior cards (Carte Jeune, Carte Attalib, Carte Senior) give 20%, 30% and 15% off respectively, but these are subscription cards, not single-trip discounts. You apply in person at a station with an ID copy and a photo, and the card is valid for 12 months. They make sense if you are based in Morocco and ride trains often, not for a single Casablanca-Marrakech trip on a two-week visit.

Which station to use

In Casablanca, take the train at Casa Voyageurs, the city’s main station, and check the station name on your ticket. Casa Port is a different station near the old city, so confusing the two is an easy planning mistake.

In Marrakech, the station is outside the medina, so plan a petit taxi for the last stretch (agree or check the meter). The Supratours coach terminal is next to it, handy if you continue to Essaouira or Agadir.

Booking

Tickets are sold at station counters and on oncf-voyages.ma, where you pick the exact train and class and see the fare before you pay. Most trains on the search showed “places limitees” (limited seats), so book ahead for Friday afternoons, Sunday evenings and holidays.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the Casablanca to Marrakech train?

2h54 on most trains, 3h00 on the two earliest morning departures from Marrakech, per ONCF’s current timetable (checked 2026-10-22).

How much does it cost?

120 to 135 DH in 2nd class and 89 to 215 DH in 1st class for a one-way adult fare, based on a live search 2 weeks ahead of travel. Prices change by train and by how early you book, so check the current fare on oncf-voyages.ma.

Which station does the train leave from in Casablanca?

Casa Voyageurs. Casa Port is a different station and does not serve this route.

Is there a cheap fare option?

YALLA AL ATLAS offers 2nd class seats at a flat 49 DH, but seats are limited and it sells out, so book at least a week ahead if you want it.

Do children pay less?

Yes. Ages 4 to 15 pay a reduced fare and under 4 travel free on an adult’s lap. In our search a child added about 50 DH to a 120 DH adult fare, but the amount depends on the train, so check at booking.
