Casablanca Events and Festivals: What’s On

Casablanca events fill the calendar all year: a ten-day jazz festival in July, a marathon in autumn, film and comedy festivals, trade fairs and big football matches. This guide lists what the official tourist board and the press reported, with dates, and tells you where to check before you plan a trip around one. For the city itself, see the Casablanca travel guide.
Sources checked 5 November 2026: the events pages of Visit Casablanca (the Casablanca Regional Tourism Council’s official site), a Hespress calendar of 2026 festivals and press reports on Jazzablanca. Event dates change, and some listings conflict, so we flag them. Confirm each date with the organiser before you book.
Casablanca events at a glance

The catch is that Casablanca’s calendar is more business and sport than traditional festival, so some listings are trade fairs. Use the lists below to pick what suits you.

Jazzablanca, the main Casablanca music festival
Jazzablanca’s 19th edition ran from 2 to 11 July 2026, according to Visit Casablanca, with concerts at Anfa Park and Parc de la Ligue Arabe. Press reports describe about 50 concerts over the 10 days, with 40 at Anfa Park and 10 free performances at the Arab League Park. The official page does not say which concerts are free, so treat the free-concert detail as press-reported and check the festival’s own site.
The next edition’s dates were not announced when we checked. Jazzablanca usually fills a July slot, but wait for the official announcement before booking flights. If you also plan to see the Atlantic coast festivals, compare it with the Gnaoua festival in Essaouira.
Sport, film and other Casablanca events
The Casablanca Marathon is described by Visit Casablanca as a yearly event gathering thousands of runners, and the 2026 edition was its 17th. The tourist board’s calendar also lists the Casablanca Arab Film Festival and the Comediablanca comedy festival (both June 2026), WeCasablanca Festival (October 2026) and a 15 km race in Bouskoura (June 2026).
Looking ahead, Visit Casablanca lists these upcoming events:
- November 2026: Festival International du Caftan Maroc, Salon International du Livre Enfant et Jeunesse, Africa Food Show Morocco, Lacathon Challenge and the Morocco versus Niger match in Casablanca.
- December 2026: EMEC EXPO 2026.
- April 2027: CasablancaRun and MICE Meeting Casablanca.
- June 2027: 10KM International by WeCasablanca.
One listing, the 10 km race, shows conflicting dates in its own entry, so check the organiser before you travel.

Planning around Casablanca events
- Check the organiser’s site and the Visit Casablanca calendar for the exact date, because several listings changed between sources.
- Book accommodation early for big dates such as a major match or a trade fair. This is common sense, not a sourced rule.
- For flights, the airport transfer options are in Casablanca airport to the city.
- To go on to other cities afterwards, see Casablanca to Marrakech by train and Getting around Morocco.
Rabat hosts its own festivals, including Mawazine in June 2026 and Visa For Music in November 2026, and is a short train ride away. See the Rabat travel guide.
A daytime plan between events
Many events are in the evening, so use the day for the Hassan II Mosque. The Fondation Hassan II (fmh2.ma) lists guided visits at 140 DH for foreign adults, 70 DH for Moroccans, residents and foreign students, and 30 DH for children over 6 and Moroccan students, with children under 6 free. We read the page on 23 October 2026.
- Guided visit slots are at 08:00, 09:00, 10:00 and 11:00, plus 14:00, Saturday to Thursday. On Friday the morning slots stop at 10:00, with 14:00 in the afternoon.
- Cover shoulders, chest and knees, and remove your shoes at the entrance. Shorts and short shirts are not allowed.
- Hours shift during Ramadan, so check fmh2.ma before you go.

Getting around during an event
The official tram site lists 6 lines and 151 stations, with a single ticket at 8 MAD and a rechargeable card at 6 MAD per trip plus a 15 MAD card fee. Some press reports mention a higher fare from 2024, so the price may differ at the ticket machine. Taxis are the other main option late at night, and fares are negotiated or metered depending on the vehicle. Check Morocco travel cost for the general budget.
