Agadir Family Hotels: Beach Hotels That Suit Families

Travel guidePublished Last checked 6 min read

Agadir family hotels are mostly big beach resorts along one long bay, with pools, kids’ clubs and an easy transfer from the airport. This guide explains what to check before you book, compares two well-known resorts using what their listings say, and adds the climate and the airport taxi fare. For the city itself, see the Agadir travel guide.

Sources checked 5 November 2026: the airport operator’s taxi and bus page, the WMO climate table for Agadir, a Club Med factsheet and hotel listings. We could not open the hotels’ own booking pages, so facts about kids’ clubs come from listings and may be out of date. Confirm age limits, hours and prices with the hotel before you pay.

What to check in Agadir family hotels

CheckWhy it matters
Kids’ club age rangeListings for the same hotel often disagree, so ask for the exact ages and hours
Beachfront or walking distanceA short walk with a stroller or tired children is a big difference
Shallow pool or children’s poolUseful with toddlers, especially in cooler months
Board typeAll-inclusive suits families who want fixed costs, half-board is cheaper but needs extra meals
Family rooms and cotsCheck if cots are free and if rooms connect
Airport transferThe airport taxi has an official fixed fare, see below

The catch is that every item above is easy to claim and hard to verify from a listing. An email to the hotel before you book is worth it.

Kids’ clubListings say ages 4 to 12 or 4 to 14, and several say it is freeA factsheet says children’s facilities from 4 months to under 18, a brochure lists Mini Club Med+ for ages 4 to 10
BeachBeachfrontA factsheet describes a 9 km stretch of beach with a private part for guests
ExtrasIndoor pools, in-room babysitting for a fee (listing)Sports such as tennis, football and water sports (guide)

We did not pick these as winners. They are two resorts that appear often in family searches, and the tables show how different the hotel formats are. If you prefer a smaller hotel or an apartment, the same checklist applies. Prices change by season and board type, so compare the same dates on each hotel’s own site.

Some older lists mention hotels that are no longer bookable. One listing for a beachfront hotel with a kids’ club says the property is no longer available, so check that a hotel is open for your dates before you plan around it.

Climate: when Agadir suits a family trip

The WMO climate table for Agadir shows mild temperatures all year. Maximums run from about 21 degrees C in January to about 27 degrees C in July and August, and nights are cooler in winter. Rain is rare in summer (0.2 mm in July) and more common from November to March, with 42 mm in November and 47 mm in December.

April23.214.113.8
July26.719.20.2
October26.116.721.2
December22.110.147.4

Air temperature is only part of the picture, because the Atlantic is cooler than the Mediterranean and many families spend more time in the pool than in the sea in winter. We did not find an official sea temperature table. If you are planning the whole country, see Morocco travel tips.

From the airport to your hotel

The airport operator’s page lists an official fixed taxi fare table. A taxi from Agadir Al Massira to Agadir (including Inezgane and Ait Melloul) costs 200 DH, and the service runs day and night from the arrivals esplanade. Taghazout and Aourir cost 300 DH. The page also lists bus shuttles between Agadir and the airport, with stops in Inezgane and Ait Melloul, but gives no fare.

If your hotel is on the beach strip, a taxi is the simple choice with luggage and children. For the coast north of town, see the Taghazout surf guide, and for general transport see Getting around Morocco.

Costs and money-saving ideas

  • Compare the same dates on the hotel’s own site and on one comparison site. Prices change by season.
  • Shoulder months can be cheaper, check the climate table above.
  • Ask whether cots, children’s meals and the kids’ club are included.
  • Use the airport’s fixed-fare taxi to avoid negotiating on arrival.

For spending outside the hotel, see Morocco travel cost. Many resorts offer excursions, but you can also book day trips from town. Ask the hotel for the prices, as they vary.

Beach days and getting out of the hotel

Even with a resort, a day or two away from the pool adds variety. The beach promenade is a gentle option for strollers, and the city has a marina and a kasbah. We found no official page for the kasbah, and the cable car mentioned on booking sites is only sold as a tour product, so we do not quote a fare for it.

If you plan to head inland afterwards, the Agadir travel guide covers the onward trips.

Frequently asked questions

Which area of Agadir suits families?

The beach strip along the bay, where most resorts are, is the usual choice. Pick a hotel on the beach or within a short walk, and check the distance to shops and restaurants.

How much is a taxi from Agadir airport to the city?

The official fixed fare listed by the airport operator is 200 DH to Agadir, including Inezgane and Ait Melloul. Taghazout and Aourir are 300 DH.

Is there a bus from Agadir airport?

The operator lists bus shuttles between the airport and Agadir, with stops in Inezgane and Ait Melloul. We did not find a fare on the page.
